I'm Christine.
I love books. I created The Write Hand to share that love.
In first grade, my teacher offered book packs we could check out. Each had a book and material for a corresponding extension activity. Some were recipes, some crafts, some experiments. I learned the extension of literature in our lives is beautiful and memorable. That's what The Write Hand is for. Sharing books. Sharing stories. Extending everywhere.
My Story
Why The WriteHand?
Because writing, of course. But it also has a special meaning for me. In 2019, I had a stroke. Among other effects, such as a limp, I lost the use of my right hand, my drawing hand hand. My painting hand. My pet-the-cat, tie-my-shoes, turn-the-page hand. My writing hand.
The Write Hand is my reimagined way of living, creating, sharing. It is an acknowledgement that while life is always reimagining itself from what we thought it would be so that we are always having to learn to relive it, WE ARE LIVING IT.
And while we do, let us share stories.
